AI re-ranking (Pro plan)
Go to Apps → Caro → Settings → Personality → AI re-ranking. Requires the Pro plan — shown locked with an Upgrade button on lower plans.

What it does
The setting's own description is exact: "Upgrade to Pro to let the agent re-rank retrieved knowledge before replying — improves accuracy, adds a little latency."
When Caro looks something up across your Sources to answer a question, it typically retrieves several potentially-relevant pieces of content. AI re-ranking adds an extra step where the AI re-evaluates and re-orders those results by actual relevance before composing its reply, rather than using the first-pass retrieval order as-is.
The tradeoff
This is explicitly a speed-for-accuracy tradeoff — replies take a little longer, in exchange for being more likely to draw from the most relevant source rather than merely a relevant one. It matters most for stores with a large or overlapping knowledge base, where several sources could plausibly apply to the same question and picking the best one actually changes the answer.
When it's worth enabling
If you're on the Pro plan and store customers regularly ask nuanced questions where the first-pass answer feels slightly off-target (right topic, wrong specifics), this is the setting most likely to fix that — worth testing against your own real conversations rather than assuming it's needed by default.
