What are ChatGPT ads?

Ads from OpenAI that show products and offers inside ChatGPT conversations. For a store, your product is the ad: ChatGPT shows its photo, title, price and link from your product feed, when it fits what someone is asking. You run them in ChatGPT Ads Manager; this app lets you run them from Shopify.

Do I need a ChatGPT Ads account?

Yes. The app connects to your own ad account with an Advertiser API key from ChatGPT Ads Manager. Your campaigns, feed and spend all live in that account. See Install the app and start your first ChatGPT ads.

Is the app made by OpenAI?

No. Vosaire is not affiliated with OpenAI. The app works with your ChatGPT Ads account through OpenAI's Advertiser API and Conversions API.

Who pays for the ads?

You pay your ad spend to OpenAI, billed in ChatGPT Ads Manager. Your app plan is separate and billed by Shopify. See Plans, trials and limits.

Will the agent spend my money without asking?

Only if you let it, and never past your limits. You choose how it works: Ask me first, Small changes on its own (Growth), Full autopilot (Pro) or Manual. Whatever you pick, it never plans to spend more than your monthly budget, never moves a bid more than 30% in a day, never touches what you lock, and asks before anything big in your first 30 days. These limits are enforced by the app's code, not by AI. See The ads agent.

Can I run my ads by hand?

Yes. Every plan includes the manual campaign manager: create, launch, pause and change campaigns yourself. Set the agent to Manual and it stays quiet, or set a single campaign to manual on its own page and the agent never touches it.

Do my ads start running right away?

No. Every campaign starts paused, so nothing spends until you click Launch campaign. Ads then start within minutes once OpenAI approves them.

Does the app change my Shopify store?

No. It installs read-only. Feed rules and AI ad titles change only what's sent to ChatGPT, never your Shopify products. AI product fixes are drafts: nothing changes in your store until you apply one, and Shopify asks you for write permission the first time.

Does it need code or a theme change?

No code. OpenAI's pixel is an app embed you switch on with one click in the theme editor (ChatGPT Ads pixel, then Save). Orders go to OpenAI from the app's server, so they're counted even before the pixel is on.

How often are my products sent to ChatGPT?

Every night, as a full feed with your latest prices, stock and new products. Feed rules apply on the next send, which starts as soon as you save one. You can also click Send feed now on the Feed page.

Why does the app show different sales than ChatGPT Ads Manager?

They count differently. Home shows the sales OpenAI connects to your ads (clicked, or seen in the last day). Profit uses real Shopify orders that came from a ChatGPT ad click, after discounts and refunds, without tax and shipping. Judge your ads on profit, over at least a week or two. Can I advertise in more than one country?

Yes. Each market gets its own ChatGPT feed in its own prices, currency and language, read from your Shopify Markets. Free includes your main market; Starter 2, Growth 5 and Pro unlimited. See Product feed and markets.

Are my shoppers' details sent to OpenAI?

To match a sale to an ad click, an order sent to OpenAI may include the customer's email, phone and name hashed with SHA-256, their country and IP address. The app passes them on and doesn't store them. The pixel only measures shoppers who allow it through your store's cookie banner. See the privacy policy.

What happens to my ads if I uninstall?

They stay in your OpenAI ad account, which you control, and keep running until you pause them in ChatGPT Ads Manager. See Uninstalling and your data.
