AI sales: visits and orders from AI assistants

The AI sales page shows how many shoppers came to your store from an AI assistant, and the orders and revenue they led to. A visit counts when it comes from an AI assistant's link or page. An order counts when that shopper visited from an AI assistant in the 30 days before buying. It's on every plan, Free included.

How it's tracked

The app adds a Shopify web pixel to your storefront when you install it. You don't need to add code. The pixel runs in Shopify's sandbox, and only for shoppers who allow analytics under your store's cookie or consent settings.

A visit is counted as coming from AI when its link is tagged for an AI assistant (utm_source, for example utm_source=chatgpt.com) or when the page it came from belongs to one. The app recognises:

  • ChatGPT
  • Perplexity
  • Gemini
  • Copilot
  • Claude
  • Grok
  • Meta AI
  • DeepSeek
  • Others, such as You.com, Phind, Poe and Mistral

If Home shows storefront tracking as Not on yet for long after install, reinstall the app or contact support.

What you see

Choose the last 7, 30 or 90 days, compared with the period before.

  • AI visits: visits that came from an AI assistant.
  • AI orders: orders from shoppers who visited from an AI assistant in the 30 days before they bought.
  • AI revenue: the total of those orders.
  • Share of revenue: AI revenue as a share of all orders seen on your storefront.
  • Conversion: AI orders as a share of AI visits.
  • Day by day: visits or revenue for each day.
  • By AI assistant: which assistants send visitors, and which of them buy.
  • Where they land: the pages AI shoppers arrive on. Products here are the ones AI recommends.

Your first sale from an AI assistant also shows on Home and, if alerts are on, arrives as an email.

Why the numbers are a floor

AI sales is the least you got from AI, not the full picture:

  • Shoppers who decline analytics tracking aren't counted.
  • Some AI apps hide where the visitor came from, so the visit looks like direct traffic.
  • Purchases made inside an AI assistant's own checkout don't pass through your storefront. They appear in your Shopify orders.

Tip: compare AI visits with your visibility score. As AI recommends you more, visits should follow.

Privacy

The pixel never sends a shopper's name, email, phone or address, and IP addresses aren't saved with these events. For an AI visit, the app keeps which assistant it was and the page the shopper landed on. Full details are in the privacy policy.
