What the app stores, and what happens when you uninstall
When you uninstall, the app stops reading your store at once. 48 hours later, Shopify asks the app to delete your store's data, and everything it holds is deleted. Changes you approved in your store, such as product descriptions and published pages, are part of your Shopify store and stay.
What the app reads and keeps
While it's installed, the app keeps what its features need:
- Your store: name, domains, owner email, country, currency and language, and your plan
- Your catalog: products, variants, prices, images, metafields and collections, kept in sync
- Orders (the last 60 days at install, then new ones), with the customer's personal data removed before anything is stored: no names, emails, phone numbers, addresses or IP addresses
- Storefront events from the web pixel, only for shoppers who allow analytics: page and product views, searches, add-to-carts, and the order ID and total of a completed checkout
- Your settings and results: buyer questions, competitors, markets, your store profile, AI answers, scores, drafts and analyses
The app never talks to your shoppers. Your store data isn't used to train any AI model. The full list, every service that handles data, and where it's stored are in the privacy policy.
How to uninstall
In Shopify, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels, find Vosaire: AI Visibility & AEO, and click Uninstall. Your plan ends with it.
What happens next

| Up to 4 months (one yearly copy up to 2 years) | Encrypted backups expire on a fixed schedule. Deleted data disappears from backups as they expire. |
If you reinstall within the 48 hours, nothing is deleted and you pick up where you left off.
What stays in your store
Anything you applied or published is part of your Shopify store, so it stays after you uninstall:
- Product descriptions, search listings, image descriptions and categories you applied
- Pages and blog posts you published
- Product FAQs you approved, saved on each product
The FAQ for AI embed and the FAQ on your product pages block come from the app, so they stop showing once it's uninstalled.
Customer privacy requests
Shopify sends the app customer data and deletion requests, and the app handles them automatically. When a customer asks for their data, the app collects what it holds about them into an export you download from Settings → Privacy and send to the customer. When a customer asks to be deleted, their personal data is removed; sales totals stay without it.
